Quick Creamy Pasta
Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225g) pasta (such as fettuccine or penne)
 - 2 tablespoons butter
 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
 - 1 cup heavy cream
 - 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
 - Salt and black pepper, to taste
 - Optional: 1 cup cooked chicken, shrimp, or sautéed mushrooms
 - Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
 
Instructions:
Cook the Pasta:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
 - Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
 - Drain the pasta and set aside.
 
Prepare the Sauce:
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
 - Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, but not browned.
 - Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
 - Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.
 - Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
 
Combine Pasta and Sauce:
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta evenly with the creamy sauce.
 - If using, add the cooked chicken, shrimp, or sautéed mushrooms, and mix well to combine.
 
Serve:
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
 - Serve immediately and enjoy!
