Quick Creamy Pasta



Ingredients:

  • 8 oz (225g) pasta (such as fettuccine or penne)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: 1 cup cooked chicken, shrimp, or sautéed mushrooms
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Pasta:

    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
    • Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
    • Drain the pasta and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Sauce:

    • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
    • Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, but not browned.
    • Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
    • Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.
    • Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  3. Combine Pasta and Sauce:

    • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta evenly with the creamy sauce.
    • If using, add the cooked chicken, shrimp, or sautéed mushrooms, and mix well to combine.
  4. Serve:

    • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
    • Serve immediately and enjoy!

This recipe should take about 15-20 minutes from start to finish, making it perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.
